Artist Info: Naneum’s last album Autumn, reached #1 on the Ambient Chill Charts and received an honorable mention for John Dliberto’s esteemed top 30 albums of the year. By the time of its release, Jon Solo had recorded another album with a new direction. “Everyday while driving to my studio, I listen to Eminem’s radio station, Shade 45. I wanted to make music with a modern groove that had ambient piano and synths over the top.”
The last few years Solo has been focusing on producing up and coming pop artists. “I started messing around with some of those songs, replacing the lead vocal with piano and it sounded like a new futuristic version of Naneum. Once I had a few songs done it felt natural to see this through to the end, so I kept recording, focusing on each track being its own world.”
Utilizing layers of synths, samples, vocal chops and trap beats, the album draws you in like a lullaby but with a slight head nod.
