“Pink Cloud” is the debut solo release from Palestinian/Guatemalan songwriter and public school music teacher, Donny Hart.

Musically, The EP ranges from dream-pop love ballads to groove based neo-psychedelic songs with influences in jazz and R&B. Lush vocal harmonies and vintage mellotron accompaniments are a defining characteristic of the EP. Donny’s love of Bach, Frederic Chopin, Erik Satie and many other classical composers influence the stylings of the arrangements. The EP features three dreamy covers (The Look of Love by Burt Bacharach, Do I Still Figure in Your Life by Pete Dello, and Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell) and three originals (Bubblegum, Everyone Knows, and Visions of You).

Previously, Donny fronted the psychedelic dance rock band, Moon Ensemble (2014-2020), playing venues like The Smell, The Glasshouse, The Echo, and many more with artists like The Red Pears, Bane's World, Sad Girl, and Capital Cities. In the Summer of 2020, Donny left the band and took a break from live performances after making a decision to get sober. After a month-long relapse in Nov 2021 and a visit to rehab, Donny Hart began recording music again, this time as a solo artist, in Spring 2021.

The term ‘Pink cloud’ describes a stage of early addiction recovery that involves feelings of euphoria and elation; the EP was created in that state. It is his goal to spread a message of growth, positive mental attitudes, and love through his music.
