Izo FitzRoy has found an incredible vein of form with her third album “A Good Woman”.
Album of the week and 5 x playlisted singles on Jazz FM in the UK and playlisted on FIP and Radio Nova in France, supported by both BBC 6 Music and Radio 2 at home, it has connected strongly with fans old and new.
Now while Izo is touring the record over the summer, she has turned to some friends old and new to put a dancefloor spin on some of the tracks from the album. Izo has recorded several times with Ludo from Art of Tones and here, he turns in a delicious slo-mo house mix of Small Mercies along with a slightly faster but no less sublime dub utilising the gospel BV’s.
Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy is one of the most well respected DJ’s and producers on the planet. Given the whole album to choose from, Colleen immediately settled on God Gets A Little Busy Sometimes knowing she could take the gospel goodness of the original and turn it into a dancefloor diamond.
Dutch beat maker Moods adds his cool electronic twist to the upbeat Give Me The High and Izo’s label mate Sam Redmore offers up a faster tropical take on big single Chasing Days.
